From lawns to playgrounds and pet areas, Genesis turf systems are fully recyclable and promote environmental sustainability
Project Description
Sometimes, a company has to go above and beyond to make a challenging situation a success. GENESIS did just this for the Harkness Elementary School playground project. The company initially supplied artificial turf to a local landscaping company to handle the installation, but a miscommunication between the architect and installers led to challenges. GENESIS not only provided the replacement synthetic turf to get the project completed in a hurry but also flew a training crew out to the Sacramento Elementary School, to ensure that both the landscapers and architects were familiar with the proper installation techniques.
Understanding the GENESIS Specifications for Easy Installation
When it comes to installations at a school or child-care facility, many designers and architects err on the side of caution by adding extra padding and supportive materials to protect children in case of a fall. GENESIS turf systems are IPEMA-certified for installation with proven and tested installation techniques to ensure safety. In areas where a child is susceptible to trip and fall while playing, GENESIS playground system provides a safe environment to help prevent injuries.
Since the landscaping crew was working to cover slopes and hills, attaching both padding and turf was naturally taking longer than they expected. GENESIS saved the day by presenting the landscaping crew the easiest techniques for getting smooth and perfect seams on slopes and uneven ground. With updates to the safety requirements and design specifications, the project went much more smoothly. The team even managed to wrap up the installation right before the first day of school so that returning students could enjoy their new playground.
